Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, by which we may offer to God an acceptable service with reverence and awe; for our God is a consuming fire. (Hebrews 12:28-29)
Do you know I am thankful today for the Refiner’s fire? I am grateful for the trials that I thought would destroy me—because they did. They did destroy me, leaving only more and more room for Him. I am thankful for the purging of my sins, the death of self, the hostile nature that strove against its Maker.
He is my everything today because of them—because of those fiery trials. He is my everything and His praise will ever be on my lips. Thank You, Lord.
