This is what the Lord says: Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. But you said, ‘We will not walk in it.’ (Jeremiah 6:16)
The last sentence of this verse breaks my heart. I am sure it breaks the Lord’s even more. Are we willing to walk in it? Are you—truly?
It doesn’t matter who we are at this moment, or who we were yesterday. What matters is this moment, is this one choice, to walk in it. Our willingness to walk in the path the Lord has set before us. To follow Jesus all the way.
It doesn’t matter that we stumble—He lifts us up and helps us back along the way. Ever so loving. Ever so merciful.
Don’t refuse Him. Oh, dear soul, don’t refuse Him.
Thank you for this
