15 while it is said: “Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.” (Hebrews 3:15)
What does it mean to harden your heart towards something or someone? Perhaps to no longer care, to ignore the core issue, to be unwilling to yield, listen or change. It can certainly be easier to harden our hearts; to not face things, to not confess it, to not admit things about ourselves. What if, instead, we allowed God to change us through the power of the Holy Spirit? What if we were willing to turn to Him, to allow Him to soften our hearts, to expose and to renew? We are not charged by the Lord to accomplish this in our own power, in our own strength, but just to lay it down, to repent, surrender and submit to the work He so desires to do in our lives. Open your heart wide to Him today.
Prayer Starter: Lord, today I choose You. I choose to let go of the things I am holding onto. I choose to surrender my will for Your will, Lord. Please change my heart. Please renew my mind. Lord, you are good and faithful, mighty and strong. You alone are able. Teach me how to give this to you, Lord, and show me the way. I trust you.
Amen!
