His work.

As long as it is day, we must do the work of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work. (John 9:4-5)

He didn’t call us to “self.” He called us to love Him first and to then love others. In the spirit of pride, we don’t need anymore help in loving ourselves. Go be the light in a very dark world. I encourage you to go love someone else, the way God loves us.
