Crucified.

Jesus died for us because it was the only way to save us—from the devil, from ourselves. He took our place on that cross for truly it was you and I who belonged there.

“But how can that be,” you might ask. Do you truly understand or do you deceive yourself into believing you do? Picture this if you will.

This man was blameless. He lived filled with the Spirit of the living God—holy, righteous and blameless. Picture that Spirit draining with His blood. Now picture that blood filling you instead with His Spirit as it washes over you. Where is your sin now? It is filling Him in return as He is nailed to that cross. He took your sin and gave you and me, as undeserving as we are, His holiness and righteousness. He made the sacrifice for us, becoming our perfect Lamb, an atonement for all sins.

Will you crucify Him again by not accepting the gift He has given you? He poured out His blood for you. 

“This is my blood … which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.'” (Matthew 26:28)
