The hypocrite.

Woe to the hypocrite and the double-minded, refusing to see the signs before their eyes—truly I say, their minds are deceived with their own self-worth. Did Jesus not say, the disciples and apostles not proclaim, none are worthy or righteous, not one? And yet they are righteous in their own eyes, ignoring the sin stored up in their own hardened hearts.

The signs are upon us and the pains of labor increasing—yet they turn away their eyes and shut tight their ears, claiming “Jesus will save me!”

Jesus said many will say they know him and yet they do not. Do they walk as He walked? Live as He lived? Love as He loved? No! Surely He is not among them and as the day draws near He will utter the words He foretold in Matthew 7:22 “And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

Woe to the modern-day Pharisees and Scribes, who deceive themselves in their own righteous eyes! The Day of the Lord draws near as the prophets of old have long proclaimed!

Isaiah 2:6 They are full of superstitions from the East; they practice divination like the Philistines and embrace pagan customs.

Daniel 12:2-3 2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

Malachi 3:13-15 13 “You have spoken arrogantly against me,” says the Lord.

“Yet you ask, ‘What have we said against you?’

14 “You have said, ‘It is futile to serve God. What do we gain by carrying out his requirements and going about like mourners before the Lord Almighty? 15 But now we call the arrogant blessed. Certainly evildoers prosper, and even when they put God to the test, they get away with it.’”

Joel 2:1-2 Blow the trumpet in Zion; sound the alarm on my holy hill.

Let all who live in the land tremble, for the day of the Lord is coming.

It is close at hand—

2 a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and blackness.

Like dawn spreading across the mountain, a large and mighty army comes, such as never was in ancient times nor ever will be in ages to come.

Would you rather be right or righteous
