Did Jesus not say He would raise us with Him? Indeed, He did. I know firsthand the depths of my sin, my shame and my despair; our resurrected King has resurrected me! And the deeper, farther gone we are—the more profound is His great love to all who would kneel!
I was in tears that day as His Light washed over me and I felt life wash over me! I had not even realized how dead in my sin I was. Did you know that this is not just a gift for I, but for ANY + ALL who would receive it!
But do not listen to my words, for who I am? The Word of God tells us so! I merely bear witness to the testimony of His amazing grace and to the glory given Our Father as we faithfully live this resurrection life!
And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you. (Romans 8:11)
When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12)
10 Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.” (John 4:10)
to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’ (Acts 26:18)
And you, being dead through your sins and the evil condition of your flesh, to you, I say, he gave life together with him, and forgiveness of all our sins; (Colossians 2:13)
25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; (John 11:25)
9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 10 Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. (1 Peter 2:9-10)
5 For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. 6 For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with,[a] that we should no longer be slaves to sin— 7 because anyone who has died has been set free from sin. (Romans 6:5-7)
8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light 9 (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) 10 and find out what pleases the Lord. 11 Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. 12 It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. 13 But everything exposed by the light becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light. 14 This is why it is said:
“Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” (Ephesians 5:8-14)
Then he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace.” (Luke 8:48)
Praise you, God Our glorious Father! Hosanna! (Save now!) King Jesus! Fill us, Holy Spirit!
“You provide the fire! I’ll provide the sacrifice. You provide the Spirit! And I will open up inside. Fill me up, God!”
